We offer two departures, both with varied terrain and about 900 ft (300 meter) elevation gain. The classic hike is focused around a Northwest Portland experience, and ends at the International Rose Test Garden (when in season), the Forest Park Experience at 9 a.m. We have limited 1:30 p.m. departures. Once weekly, we offer an afternoon hike that starts at Goose Hollow, through neighborhoods and up into the park (2:30 p.m.). Both pass iconic spots; Japanese Garden, Pittock Mansion, and Witch's Castle; but take a different approach to the forest.

In Forest Park—within minutes leaving the street—you can forget, or wonder at the fact that you are still in a city.

Portland is justly famous for both its craft roasted coffee and its doughy sweets -- ride and explore in a 4-6 mile bike tour. 10 a.m. daily. Bike, helmet, one doughnut and one coffee included!

At our shop at 833 SE Main Street #124, we are also in the literal center of Portland’s craft coffee roasting icons (three of the city’s best roasters surround our block).
We'll begin with coffee, tea or hot cocoa at a shop that roasts its own beans, and sample some single-origin coffee so we'll be ready for lots of sweets to come. The itinerary will vary based on shop hours and customer tastes, but we'll always tell the story of Voodoo Donuts. We'll always stop at at least two doughnut shops and one or two coffee shop depending on the group.

The 11 mile bike and pedestrian path through the 5000 acre park is enshrouded with towering trees. Catch glimpses of the city below as you zip through the temperate forest. Return the way you came or head over the St Johns Bridge into North Portland for amazing views of the West Hills and the Willamette River from Overlook.

At OHSU, we’ll walk with you to the Aerial Tram. We’ll ride up this feat of Italian engineering up to the top as the early sun reveals the city’s glowing colors. Once there, depending on sunrise timing and weather, we'll watch the sun crest the horizon, or check out the city views in the early morning light.

After we ride back to the bottom, we'll tell you the story of the bridge and its quixotic lights, and orient you to the city whose east-west divider lies before us.

The Aerial Tram was built in 2006 to connect the main campus of Oregon Health Sciences University with the new neighborhood of the South Waterfront. We will be joining students and medical staff on their daily tram ride!
